When I started this site back in 2001 there were very few fly fisherman who “admitted” to fly fishing for carp. I was told by some fellow fly fishing guides that Blackfoot Reservoir west of Idaho Falls had some great carp fishing. I started making spring trips there and always had a good time, whether the fishing was good or not. Nowadays, it seems like anyone who considers themselves a serious fly rodder has tried targeting carp. I get e-mails from all over the world now and phone calls from my friends reporting on their trips.
This site has seen several changes since it was started and I hope to add more photos from anglers and some carp stories from readers. If you have a story you would like to share send me an e-mail so I can post it here.
Thanks for stopping by the site. I hope you learn something while you are here and get a chance to experience the joys of fly fishing for carp.
Sincerely,
